  • Do I need a physician prescription?

    In most cases, no. NJ is a direct access state which means you can be treated without a physician prescription.

  • My doctor wants me to use their physical therapist who is located inside their office, but can I go to Advanced Physical Therapy of SJ?

    Yes! Your doctor cannot require you to use their affiliated physical therapist and you can go to any therapy group that accepts your insurance.

  • What types of issues do we most frequently treat?

    Knee replacement, hip replacement, rotator cuff tears and repairs, spinal fusion, difficulty walking, general weakness, and balance issues.

  • My doctor wants me to stop treatment, but I think I need more therapy. Can I continue?

    Speak to your therapist, but if you are progressing and have reasonable goals - yes!
